We are an essential resource for schools and organizations serving early childhood (K-12) students in underserved communities of Washington, DC. We offer mobile, outdoor classroom pods, kits, and programming to increase student and family engagement, support social emotional development, and offer students COVID-safe, customized learning experiences to support and enhance virtual-only instruction.

Gabriel “Asheru” Benn

Gabriel “Asheru” Benn, M.Ed. is a Peabody Award-winning writer, international Hip Hop artist, and veteran educator, hailing from Washington DC.  He has a career spanning over 20 years as a teacher and administrator in Washington DC schools, and served as a U.S. State Department Global Hip Hop Cultural Ambassador in 2014.

Asheru is the Founding Director of  Guerilla Arts Ink,  a full-service media, arts, and education consulting agency and publisher of the Hip Hop Educational Literacy Program workbook series.  He is a managing partner for the ed-tech start up, Words Liive, and is a faculty member and upcoming author for Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), providing training and other supports for school districts across the country in the areas of culturally responsive teaching, arts and technology integration and restorative practices.

Lemond Brown

Lemond Brown is an artist, educator, musician and philanthropist born in Washington DC. Lemond aka IMAG continues to give constantly to those in need and serves as the Founder and CEO of The Swaliga Foundation. After graduating with BAS Architectural Engineering from Drexel University in 2012, Lemond launched his nonprofit and has been impacting people ever since.
